About Me
My mission is to help people realize they can have a happy, healthy, peaceful life.
For most of my adult life, I would tell people that Counseling was my passion and Medicine was my love. The human body has always amazed me, and I wished I was a doctor. After working with people with disabilities for 12 years, I went back to school and got my Master’s in Counseling to fulfill half of my dream. There was always something stopping me from getting into the medical field, however.
About 10 years ago, my amazing massage therapist was getting her training in Reiki and had started incorporating it into her massages. I had no idea what she was doing. All I knew was that I left there transformed in some way every time! I loved it! When I was able to have these sessions on a regular basis, I felt amazing…and not just my physical health improved! I was in a much better place spiritually as well.
A couple years ago, my Master Teachers were introduced to me by an intuitive. My life hasn’t been the same since. I now understand why I never got into Western Medicine. That wasn’t the path for me. That wasn’t the way I was supposed to “be” with people. That wasn’t my connection to people, the human body, and medicine. Reiki is!!! And, I couldn’t wait to start being available for people in that capacity! I want everyone to feel as well as possible on all levels!
My Philosophy
All we have is our word. Be honest with yourself and others and do what you say you are going to do, keeping your integrity intact!
I challenge myself daily to live and go beyond the fear, to play full out! Whether it’s laughing with friends, working, sharing myself, or working through my own issues, you will get all of me. Life is too short!
Education, Training, Affiliations, and Accomplishments
- I am a Certified Reiki Master-Teacher. I have the highest training and attunement possible.
- I have a Master’s in Counseling/NCC (nationally certified counselor) – If something comes up for clients, they may be comforted in knowing I am available to talk with them if they would like.
- I moved across the U.S. to start my own business by myself!
- I am a proud member of the Portland Area Business Association (PABA).
- Member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP).
My Hobbies
For me, nature can be a very spiritual place. That is where I like to regroup by taking walks, hikes, go kayaking, etc.
I also love photography and taking pictures (mainly of nature)…trying to catch the many wonders and beauty of the Universe! I love music and singing. It is a form of meditation for me.
